Yes, we are buying.
Besides needing a constant stream of stamps from the United States and Possessions to fill the collections of our hungry clients we are most interested in collections or better sets and singles from the following countries:
- Canada and Newfoundland
- France (and colonies)
- Germany (and area
- Portugal (and colonies)
- Spain (and colonies)
We also are interested in buying collections from the various British Commonwealth - whether individual countries or collections spanning the Commonwealth. We will pay 22% of current Scott's catalog for Never Hinged sets up to 1970 (higher for the earlier sets) which catalog at least $10 and 15% for sets from 1971 to 1990. Material after 1990 is not wanted at this time. Hinged sets and singles before 1950 are also purchased and priced based on the indiviual set (or better single item).
We will buy collections from other areas as well but these are the countries or areas that are of the most interest to us.
Note that it is virtually impossible to offer a quote without actually seeing a collection unless it is a uniformly clean, Never Hinged collection. Of course we realize that these types of collections are few and far between so, again, it would be impossible to quote a price for a collection unless it is examined first hand.
Which brings me to my next point. We do not travel to examine collections. All collections MUST be shipped for examination and a possible offer. We recommed using UPS (or FedEx) since they offer tracking from door to door and in the 30-odd years we have been in business, they have never lost a package on us. If we buy a collection, we will reimburse shipping costs to us. If we don't buy it we will return it at our expense.
If you have any questions concerning a collection you are considering offering to us, please feel free to call or use the Contact Us link at the left.
